Medical Assistant

Looking for a dedicated and flexible team player with experience in the medical field to join our large family practice office in our back office as a medical assistant! This is a full time position (8:00am- 5:00pm M-F) Requirements-

• Medical terminology
• Basic medication knowledge
• Familiar with prior authorizations for prescriptions
• Knowledge of multi-line phones.
• EHR/electronic medical records.
• Basic office equipment usage: Fax, printing, scanning ect.
• Can MULTI- TASK, shows attention to detail and must be flexible. We use EPIC software, so knowledge with this is a HUGE plus! This position will require the employee to do multiple tasks:
• Basic back office/ medical assistant procedures (ie; immunizations, injections, lab orders, ect.)
• Answer phone calls and faxes from pharmacies and patients regarding prescription refills and authorizations.
• Retrieve prior authorizations for prescriptions from insurance companies We do offer benefits and 401k!
