Job Description :

We are looking for a Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team at Maven Dermatology. This position plays a key role in supporting both clinical operations and patient care. This position involves managing prior authorizations, coordinating referrals with primary care providers and specialists, and serving as a primary point of contact for patients regarding biopsy results, lab findings, and follow-up care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and skilled at communicating clearly and professionally with patients and healthcare providers. By ensuring timely and accurate administrative support, this role contributes to a smooth, efficient practice and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities include:

Updating patient information while adhering to HIPAA regulations Keeping patients informed of appointment delays and scheduling follow-ups Managing incoming calls and directing them appropriately Maintaining a clean and organized front office Adhering to all safety guidelines

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent certification required Experience in medical office Medical Assistant experience Required 0-6 months' experience in a medical office

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in medical office Dermatology experience preferred Bilingual English/Spanish Knowledge of HIPAA regulations Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level of confidentiality Thorough and organized with patient care and file maintenance Ability to remain calm and patient when working with patients, employees, and physicians Strong customer service skills Ability to work well in a team environment
