We offer state-of-the-art cardiovascular testing as well as personalized long-term internal medicine primary care. We are recognized as a unique and pioneering practice in the direct care space which means that we can put all our focus on serving patients. The office is situated in a charming historical San Francisco building in the heart of the city. We are seeking a Medical Assistant who must be available Monday through Friday for 35-40 hours per week. Job responsibilities include answering phones, interacting with patients in a healthcare setting, and managing administrative tasks for the medical team. Duties include scheduling patient appointments according to doctor availability, explaining intake forms to new patients, checking in and checking out of patients, including processing patient payments. In addition, the employee will assist the physician in obtaining electrocardiograms, conducting stress tests, applying heart rhythm monitors, and processing lab and imaging orders. All members of our team provide a high level of efficiency and professionalism, always in an ethical and courteous manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Answer phones and greet incoming patients and visitors. Ensure that voice messages are being checked and processed daily. Perform patient registration, obtain consent forms, and process payments. Request and obtain medical records for patients, prior to appointment date. Send medical records of existing patients, upon request and proper authorization. Schedule patients for available times for both the clinic and doctors Work fluidly in our EHR system to ensure info is accurate and complete. Guide patients through the process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns. Participate in various projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by physicians. Perform general medical assistant tasks; vitals, rooming of patients, obtain ECGs, setting up treadmill stress tests, and assisting with other clinical tasks. Maintain a clean and orderly office environment and reception room. Qualifications /
Required Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent Medical Assistant certification or relevant experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Well-organized with attention to detail is essential to the job. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Empathetic with patients' needs and concerns. Treat patients and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to work autonomously. Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Initiative-taking and organized.
