Job Description
Who We Are Discover Health is a leading multi-physician concierge primary care practice for adults and pediatrics. Our mission is to deliver trusted, personalized care through exceptional physicians and dedicated teams working together for every patient. As a concierge practice, we maintain small patient panels so our providers can build strong relationships with patients and focus on delivering personalized, unrushed care. Responsibilities Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's chart Ensure all related reports, labs, and information is filled out and available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records Prepare treatment rooms; disinfect and clean following patient examinations Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, expired medications, etc.) Answer and relay messages, follow up with patients, providers, and pharmacies Assist with minor procedures: suture removal, dressing changes, blood draws The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time. Qualifications High school or equivalent (Required) Excellent customer service skills (Required) Certified Medical Assistant (2 years Preferred) Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Preferred) Experience with Athena Health EMR (Preferred) What You'll Do Assist physicians and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records. Clinical duties may include preparing treatment room for patient exams, recording patient medical history, and cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment. This position is ideal for those who wish to pursue a career in healthcare. This is a fast-paced role that calls for the ability to multitask, think on your feet and work independently. We are looking for someone who is patient-focused, empathetic, and positive. This role is critical to the entire patient experience.
