Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care to our Latino community in Santa Ana . This energetic position offers the opportunity to support physicians and healthcare professionals by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth clinic operations, providing compassionate service and vital support to promote health and well-being. This paid position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to make a meaningful impact in healthcare delivery. Duties Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort. Support clinical staff by performing basic medical procedures such as medication administration, dressing wounds, and assisting with X-ray imaging when required. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately to document patient information, treatment plans, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and other medical data. Conduct routine laboratory tasks like specimen collection and processing, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Perform administrative duties including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and maintaining organized medical records to enhance patient service efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience working in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, outpatient clinics, or emergency medicine settings. Bilingual, Spanish is encouraged, 95% of our patient population speaks spanish Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology essential for accurate patient assessment and documentation. Knowledge with Medicare Senior Wellness Exams documentation Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding to ensure precise recordkeeping. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as X-ray operation or medication administration are a plus. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments

From $18.00 per hour
