Job Description
SBVS is hiring to add to our excellent team! We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of MA experience. This will be a backup MA position. MA certification is not required. Must be bilingual in Spanish/English. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to physicians, to ensure efficient operation of patient clinics. This includes following up on all physician orders, as well as obtaining insurance authorizations. Responsibilities Interview patients and document basic medical history Schedule appointments Update and file medical records and insurance reports Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services Assist during medical examinations by taking vitals and documenting them in the patient chart Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments Will need to have experience in wound care or be willing to be trained in wound care Skills Bilingual in Spanish (required) Basic understanding of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills Service and team oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills
