This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys patient care, is eager to learn, and wants to be part of a supportive dermatology practice that provides medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services. Our office is fast-paced, hands-on, and team-oriented, with the opportunity to build strong clinical skills in a specialty setting. About Our Practice Coastal Dermatology + Aesthetics provides comprehensive dermatology care to patients throughout the Central Coast, with office locations in San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria. Our team treats a wide range of skin concerns, including acne, rashes, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer screenings, biopsies, excisions, Mohs surgery, and cosmetic treatments (Lasers, Microneedling, etc). We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent patient care and wants to grow with a practice that values teamwork, professionalism, and a positive patient experience. Responsibilities The Medical Assistant will support providers during patient visits and help ensure the clinic runs smoothly throughout the day.

Responsibilities may include:

Rooming patients and obtaining medical history Assisting providers during dermatology exams and procedures Preparing rooms, trays, instruments, and supplies Assisting with biopsies, excisions, injections, and minor in-office procedures Documenting visit information in the electronic medical record Reviewing medications, allergies, and patient concerns Providing patient education and follow-up instructions Helping with prescription requests, prior authorizations, and lab/pathology workflows Maintaining clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms Supporting front office or clinical team members as needed Providing a warm, professional, and reassuring experience for patients What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is reliable, friendly, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy medical office. Dermatology experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. Qualifications Medical Assistant experience preferred Dermatology experience a plus, but not required Certified Medical Assistant preferred, but not required Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required Strong communication and patient care skills Comfortable using an electronic medical record system Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Dependable attendance and punctuality Professional, team-oriented attitude Willingness to learn dermatology-specific procedures and workflows Why Join Coastal Dermatology + Aesthetics?
