Orthopedics Location:
Mission Hills Tarzana, CA Duration - 13 Weeks Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support a busy Orthopedic outpatient clinic providing comprehensive musculoskeletal care. The ideal candidate will have prior orthopedic experience and be comfortable assisting with patient care related to injuries and conditions involving the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, foot, and ankle. ASAP No Weekends No On-Call Requirements Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience Orthopedic experience required (must have prior orthopedic clinic experience) Outpatient clinic experience highly preferred BLS Certification required First-time travelers accepted Local candidates accepted Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints. Assist providers with orthopedic examinations and procedures. Support patient care involving orthopedic injuries and conditions. Assist with casting, splinting, bracing, and related orthopedic treatments. Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies. Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record. Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up care as needed. Educate patients on treatment plans, brace care, cast care, and post-procedure instructions. Maintain clinic workflow while providing excellent patient service.
