As a Medical Records Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of our patients' medical records.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, processing medical records requests, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a compassionate and experienced healthcare team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for our patients Process and respond to medical records requests from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including HIPAA Organize and file medical records in a secure and efficient manner Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve the accuracy and completeness of medical records Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that medical records are accurate and up-to-date
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred Experience in medical records or a related field preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Familiarity with medical records software and systems preferred
