Medical Assistant

Wellness Urgent Care is seeking a reliable, flexible, and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. We are looking for a motivated professional who can work efficiently with minimal supervision while providing excellent patient care and outstanding customer service. Responsibilities Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs Administer IM injections and assist with other clinical procedures Perform laboratory testing and specimen collection Prepare patients for examinations and treatments Document patient information accurately in the EMR Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies Assist providers with patient care and procedures Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with front office duties as needed Follow all infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications Required:

Medical Assistant certification preferred Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience Experience administering IM injections Experience obtaining vital signs and performing laboratory testing EMR experience Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable transportation and excellent attendance

Preferred:

Urgent Care, Family Practice, or Emergency Medicine experience Experience with point-of-care testing and specimen collection Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual Friendly and compassionate Team player with a positive attitude Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to thrive in a busy urgent care setting
