In this vital role, you will provide exceptional medical support to patients experiencing acute and chronic pain. Your proactive approach and clinical skills will help ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality care delivery in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting comprehensive medical histories and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process. Support physicians and healthcare providers with clinical tasks including medication administration, wound care, X-ray preparation, and basic life support (BLS) procedures. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems by accurately documenting patient encounters, ICD coding for diagnoses, and updating medical records in real-time. Conduct physiological assessments and support complex cases involving anatomy knowledge, physiology principles, or emergency medicine protocols. Support administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and coordinating patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency. Requirements Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program; prior experience in outpatient clinics is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols. Proficiency with EHR systems and familiarity with X-ray procedures or other diagnostic tools are advantageous. Ability to perform vital signs collection accurately and support complex patient care scenarios across specialties like internal medicine, geriatrics, medical-surgical units, or PICU. Phlebotomy license preferred. Ability to draw blood and prep for PRP Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence; ability to handle intake processes efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or OR experience are a plus.
