As a medical assistant, you should demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform well and with professionalism. Our position requires a minimum of one year's Dermatology medical office experience, knowledge of healthcare office and systems operations. The assistant will need excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to follow directions. The assistant should be able to ensure steady workflows for uninterrupted service in the office. Duties include preparing the examining rooms, rooming the patients, taking, and recording information in the electronic patient's records, assisting the providers, scribing, sterilizing instruments, stocking rooms, ordering supplies, calling patients, answering calls, making appointments, assisting with prescription requests, authorizations and refills. Certification
  • graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program Experience
  • One year or greater experience in Dermatology. Experience with EMR software, with a preference for Modernizing Medicine (EMA) Position

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, both in-person and over the phone
  • Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
  • Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare providers
  • Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring patient comfort
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including coding and filing documents
  • Assist with medical administrative support tasks as needed
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant and Medical Receptionist preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic medical procedures
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and scheduling
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and files
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
