The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within a clinic setting. The Medical Assistant will assist with both administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs and assisting with examinations. Ensure patient comfort throughout their visit. Perform medical administrative support tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic. Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff. Experience Previous experience is preferred but not required. Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team. Provide resume and references please. Role Description Come join us in a quiet/low stress office. You will be the only person in the office frequently. This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Assistant in Torrance, CA. The MA will be responsible for front and back-office duties in a 1 physician office. The only back office work is vitaling patients, directing them to the exam room, and performing urinalysis on new patients. Clinic hours are 1/2 day Monday, full day Tuesday, and 1/2 day Friday. The job is 32 hours per week, 8:30AM-5PM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and 8:30 AM-12:30 PM on Wednesday and Thursday. We can be flexible (full time or part time) as low as 25 hours per week. Hours will be fixed upon acceptance of a candidate. Office is relatively low volume. Front office tasks include patient scheduling, obtaining insurance authorization for visits at the office and dialysis center, EMR charting, phone calls, etc.
