Medical Assistant front & back office

Position Duties:

Screening patients, process and file patient medical paper work or via EMR, assisting the Physician & staff, taking patient vitals, performing tests, injections & proper documentation of injections, entering medical patient information into EMR system, obtaining authorizations, processing referrals, ing children for CHDP. Eligibility verification, triage calls appropriately, scheduling appointments,message taking, handle pharmacy calls, procedures, keep inventory and order supplies, process specimens appropriately for pick up by Lab Courier. Disinfection and sterilization of work area and office. Qualifications

• Basic knowledge and experience in assisting physicians with pap smears & simple medical procedures, Medical terminology, vitals , immunizations, EKGs. Very good verbal and written communication skills. Basic knowledge with a computer, fax machine,scanner and photocopier. Ability to handle multiple phone calls.
• Ability to work independently & multitask as well as a team player is required.
• current CPR BLS.
• 1 year experience in the medical field preferred.
• Experience with E-clinicals works preferred but not required.
• MUST be bilingual in spanish.
