Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly impact patient care and clinic operations. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support across outpatient and inpatient settings, including emergency medicine, dermatology, internal medicine, and hospital medicine. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth clinic workflows, accurate documentation, and exceptional patient service. Responsibilities Escorts patients to and from exam rooms as appropriate. Records patient data prior to each provider visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes. Obtains all necessary patient records as required by provider and verifies presence of consent prior to treatment or procedures. Prepares and stocks exam rooms and orders supplies as needed. Assists provider with exams and procedures as requested. Administers subcutaneous and intramuscular injections. Maintains all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols. Obtains new patient records and previous test results, x-rays, scans, etc. Qualifications Registered or certified medical assistant. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic pharmacology to support accurate clinical documentation and patient care. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Experience working with EHR systems and proficiency (eClinicalWorks is a plus). Ability to perform clinical duties including taking vital signs, assisting with intake assessments, and supporting inpatient or outpatient procedures.
