Medical Assistant / Medical Coordinator Clinix Center for Health Are you looking to gain meaningful clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment? Are you planning to apply to medical school, nursing school, or physician assistant school and seeking valuable hands-on patient care experience? Whether you're a certified Medical Assistant, recent MA graduate, or a motivated pre-health student, we'd love to meet you. Clinix Center for Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Medical Coordinator to join our team. This position provides direct patient care experience, opportunities to develop clinical skills, and exposure to a wide variety of medical conditions and procedures in a busy primary care setting. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals pursuing careers in medicine, nursing, physician assistant studies, or other healthcare professions. Clinix Center for Health is a multidisciplinary healthcare practice that integrates Family Medicine, Behavioral Health, Chiropractic Care, and other healthcare services under one roof. Our team-based approach allows patients to receive comprehensive care while providing employees with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience and learn from multiple healthcare disciplines. We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant/Medical Coordinator to support our providers in a busy, established family medicine practice. What You'll Gain Direct patient care experience in a primary care setting Exposure to Family Medicine, Behavioral Health, and integrated healthcare Hands-on clinical skills training Mentorship from experienced healthcare professionals Valuable experience for future careers in medicine, nursing, physician assistant studies, and other healthcare professions Responsibilities Obtain vital signs, medical histories, and assessments when rooming patients Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures Perform injections, vaccinations, specimen collection, and in-house laboratory testing Conduct point-of-care testing including COVID-19, strep, flu, urinalysis, cultures, and other diagnostic testing Manage patient communications, provider messages, prescription requests, and medication refill processes Coordinate specialist referrals and durable medical equipment (DME) Produce and distribute correspondence, letters, forms, and medical documentation Accurately document chronic care and preventive care plans within the electronic medical record Organize and schedule in-office and virtual appointments Prepare, stock, and maintain exam and treatment rooms Support both front-office and back-office operations as needed Qualifications Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required Recent Medical Assistant graduates are encouraged to apply Pre-med, pre-nursing, pre-PA, and other pre-health students are encouraged to apply Previous healthcare, customer service, or medical office experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment Dependable, professional, and team-oriented attitude Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and customer service Schedule Full-time (40 hours per week) Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM No weekends If you're looking for a position that offers meaningful patient interaction, hands-on clinical experience, and a strong foundation for a future healthcare career, we encourage you to apply. growth while providing comprehensive training opportunities in various specialties—empowering you to excel in the evolving landscape of healthcare.
