Medical AssistantPosition Overview FOY Medical is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This role is essential to delivering an exceptional patient experience while supporting our providers in providing high-quality, evidence-based care. As a Medical Assistant, you will serve as a key member of the clinical team, assisting with patient care, clinical procedures, administrative tasks, and day-to-day clinic operations. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, patient-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop clinical skills, work alongside experienced healthcare professionals, and make a meaningful impact on the health and wellness of our patients. Responsibilities Welcome and room patients while creating a positive and professional patient experience. Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, current medications, and patient concerns accurately. Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments. Assist providers with clinical procedures and patient care as directed. Perform specimen collection, processing, and preparation for laboratory testing. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR). Support medication administration and ensure proper documentation according to clinic protocols. Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, procedures, and follow-up instructions. Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure efficient clinic operations. Assist with scheduling, patient communications, and administrative duties as needed. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Respond appropriately to urgent patient situations and support emergency procedures when necessary. Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure efficient workflow and outstanding patient care. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required based on experience. Previous experience in a medical office, urgent care, primary care, specialty clinic, or healthcare setting preferred. Blood draw and injection experience a plus Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical workflows. Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced clinical environment.
