  • Overview:
  • We are seeking a dedicated Dermatology Assistant to join our team. As a Dermatology Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting dermatology providers in providing high-quality patient care and treatment. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment and contribute to improving the health and well-being of our patients.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Assist providers in various procedures, including in office procedures and surgeries.
  • Provide support in MOHS surgery and excisions
  • Act as a scribe in real time to accurately document all aspects of medical visits.
  • Utilize anatomy knowledge to assist in dermatological examinations and treatments.
  • Support provider needs as they arise, demonstrating quick thinking and responsiveness.
  • Administer topical and injectable numbing under supervision.
  • Work seamlessly with all support staff including answering phones and scheduling appointments
  • Deliver lab and pathology results to patients in a kind manner with empathy
  • Ensure patient comfort and confidentiality throughout all interactions.
  • Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Knowledge of patient care principles and practices.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
  • Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience in Dermatology.
  • Experience with EZDerm EHR
  • Experience with UPDOX
  • Familiarity with Dermatology medicine and protocols.
  • Background working in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Solid understanding of human anatomy.
  • Experience in fast paced environments
