Job Description

The Children's Health Place is an independent pediatric practice serving Northern Colorado for over 30 years. We are searching for an energetic Medical Assistant with a love of working with kids. We are seeking a qualified candidate who is looking to grow their career in an established pediatric practice and are excited to build relationships and connections with our patients and families. In our practice our Medical Assistants have opportunities to create standards of care, suggest new policies and procedures, and help us support an integrated care office. The new candidate will join our established practice serving our diverse pediatric patient base. We are looking for a Medical Assistant who will fully embrace our mission statement, "a personal approach to health care every child deserves". Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide pediatric services in a primary care setting Intake, vital signs, administer treatments, medications, vaccinations and diagnostic testing Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times Basic understanding of electronic medical records (Epic Preferred) Understanding of appropriate quality-based chart documentation and medical coding Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas. Conducts routine vaccine inventory. May order vaccines as necessary. Conduct patient triage Assist Providers with procedures Ability to maintain quality, safety and/or infection control standards Knowledge of patient safety protocols, procedures, regulations and standards Thorough understanding of compliance operations, patient safety, and HIPAA Some patient scheduling and administrative tasks Minimum Job Requirements Accepting recent graduates of Medical Assisting programs Current
CPR & BLS
