Colorado Imaging Associates, PC, along with our new office-based lab (OBL), Colorado Advanced Endovascular, LLC, located in Lakewood, CO, is dedicated to providing cutting-edge interventional radiology services. We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused individual to join our dynamic team in a Medical Assistant/Front Desk role. Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual for a Medical Assistant/Front Desk role to support our healthcare team in delivering outstanding patient care. This position includes a blend of clinical responsibilities and front office administrative duties to ensure a smooth, efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. This position will be in person Monday through
Thursday Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
Prepares patients for the provider by verifying medical information, updating medical history and measuring vital signs. Prepares and organizes all paperwork and pervious exams/reports/labs for radiologist prior to patient's appointment Follows up on orders, appointments, referrals, and follow up visits. Assist physician by helping with procedures which may include assisting nursing in pre/postop, assisting the technologist in the procedural area with setup and room turnover. Assist physicians during angiographic and interventional procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile trays and other equipment, practicing sterile technique, and passing instruments and supplies to the radiologist. Maintains efficient patient flow throughout the clinic experience. Instructs, escorts, and prepares patients for clinic consults, wound checks, and minor invasive procedures. Collect and prepare lab specimens for testing Helps check in, check out patients, assist with triaging phone calls. Update and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care
Front Desk & Admin Duties:
Check patients in and out, ensuring information is accurate and complete. Assist with triaging incoming phone calls and routing messages appropriately. Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and coordinate referrals when needed. Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with required forms or documentation. Collect co-pays or outstanding balances when appropriate. Support daily front office operations, including scanning, emailing, and managing incoming mail or faxes. Assist with opening the clinic in the morning and preparing the workspace prior to patient arrival. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and professional experience for all patients and visitors.
Qualifications:
Completion of a medical assistant training program or have at least 2 years of work experience in related profession. A Medical Assistant (CCMA or CMA) certification is desired but not required. BLS certification (Required) Previous experience in a fast-paced medical office or healthcare setting is a plus Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment and at times stressful environment Knowledge of medical terminology and basic office software (EHR, MS Office, etc.) Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused attitude Colorado Imaging Associates along with Colorado Advanced Endovascular offers a competitive salary along with full benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, accrual-based PTO, and a robust 401K profit sharing plan.
