Medical Assistant (Experienced) - Rocky Mountain Infectious Disease Specialists (RMIDS) Rocky Mountain Infectious Disease Specialists (RMIDS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our collaborative, patient-centered team. This position is primarily based at our Littleton (AdventHealth Campus) location, with flexibility to support our Sky Ridge Medical Center and Medical Center of Aurora clinics as needed. This role is ideal for an MA who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and is comfortable managing both clinical and administrative responsibilities. In addition to core Medical Assistant duties, this position plays a key role in supporting clinic workflow, coordinating patient care, and serving as a resource to the broader team.

Collaborative, team-oriented environment with strong provider support Opportunity to work closely with experienced infectious disease specialists High level of autonomy and trust in your role Meaningful, complex patient care that makes a difference Supportive team culture that values flexibility and teamwork across locations Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Support Room patients and assist with exams and procedures Collect patient histories, vitals, and perform screenings per provider guidelines Assist with patient mobility, specimen collection, and exam preparation Provide patient education and follow-up instructions as directed Clinical Workflow & Coordination Support daily clinic flow, anticipate provider needs, and help ensure efficient operations Serve as a resource for day-to-day workflow questions and team coordination Assist in guiding workflow and supporting task delegation among clinical staff Orders, Results & Documentation Review and complete provider-directed orders, including labs, imaging, referrals, and medication refills Manage lab results, including routing to providers and addressing interface issues when needed Document all patient interactions and care accurately within the EMR Maintain thorough tracking and follow-up on orders to ensure completion Administrative & Operational Support Prepare and manage patient charts, ensuring all documentation is complete and available Monitor and manage inboxes (lab results, faxes, messages) across clinic locations Complete prior authorizations (CoverMyMeds, insurance calls, or paper submissions as needed) Assist with scheduling, forms, and coordination of care Team Support & Leadership Serve as a knowledgeable resource for clinic processes and workflow Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring new staff Collaborate across locations to support coverage and maintain continuity of care Clinic Maintenance & Compliance Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms in accordance with infection control standards Manage supply inventory and restocking of clinical areas Ensure strict confidentiality and compliance with all applicable policies and procedures Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of a Medical Assistant program, CNA certification, or minimum 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience required Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical workflows, and patient care processes Experience with EMR systems and basic computer proficiency Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage a high-volume workload Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills Additional Information This role requires flexibility to support multiple clinic locations as needed.
