We have 8 employees including 3 providers and 4 clinic staff who all work very closely together. We serve a community of patients ages 13-97 years old, and have long-standing relationships with our patients and their families. We are looking for a medical assistant to join our team and help make a difference in our community! Being such a small practice, we highly value positivity in the workplace, as well as a willingness to communicate clearly and effectively with the rest of the team. The ideal medical assistant candidate will be a team-player that is hardworking, adaptable, and eager to learn. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and working well in a team environment. Prior experience in healthcare is a must. Experience in other customer service roles (retail, food service, etc.) is appreciated as well.
Responsibilities Hours:
Full time- 4 ½ days per week: Tu, W, Th, F
- 7:45 am-4:45 pm with a 30 minute lunch break, ½ day Mondays
- 7:45 am-12:15 pm Working with/documenting in EHR (Epic) Rooming patients: collect and document patient histories, obtain vital signs, give succinct patient reports to providers Assisting providers with in-office procedures as needed Performing minor procedures/testing, IM/SC injections (will train) Performing lab draws (will train) Answering/triaging patient calls, following up on missed calls, returning voicemails, routing/responding to messages in the patient portal Faxing documents (clinical notes, referrals, orders, etc.
