Medical Assistant for

Dermatology & Mohs Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in all aspects of patient care related to medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology Room patients and document medical history, verify medication list, and complete EMR check-in Scribe appropriate documentation into EMR with physician Assist physician with surgical procedures including but not limited to skin biopsies, excisions, electrodessication and cautery, cryotherapy, Mohs micrographic surgery and associated laboratory work. Perform packing and sterilization of instruments Prepare and document specimens for pathology Assist patients with pre-operative instructions and protocols and educate them on informed consent for procedure. Monitor and document labs and pathology, including follow-up with patients

Preferred Qualifications Education/Experience:

Previous experience in dermatology preferred, but not required Experience with EMR systems Familiarity with medical terminology Participate in continuing education opportunities
