Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in a new pediatric primary care office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring a high level of patient care. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a pediatric, family-centered office. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures if needed. Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories. Perform routine in house point of care testing including but not limited to vision, hearing, and basic labs such as hemoglobin and lead. Administer injections as directed if licensed to do so. Conduct basic life support (BLS) procedures when necessary. Manage patient flow within the office. Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for billing purposes. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology. Proficiency in coding practices relevant to medical billing. Experience in pediatrics is preferred but not required. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on empathy and communication. Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) techniques effectively. Familiarity with pediatric procedures is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinic environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork within a healthcare setting.
