Medical Assistant- Cardiology

Medical Assistant Job Description As a member of the patient care team, you will assist providers and nursing staff with daily office duties in an outpatient setting. You will perform tasks that support patient care to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. Responsibilities Perform specific duties that support patient care, such as taking vitals and conducting client intake. Room patients efficiently and document all necessary information accurately. Assist with triage and conduct EKGs as needed. Essential Skills Medical Assistant diploma 1+ years of experience in medical assisting, though entry-level candidates will be considered. Patient care and medical assisting skills. Experience with electronic health records. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in cardiology is a plus. Experience with stress testing. Ability to room patients every 20 minutes. Work Environment You will work in a fast-paced cardiology office that is family-oriented but can be very busy at times. The main locations are Hartford, Avon, and West Hartford, with additional sites in Glastonbury, Wethersfield, and Windsor. Full-time work schedule requires availability from 7:15 AM to 5 PM Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glastonbury, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
