In this role, you will provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient clinic operations and exceptional patient care in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering outstanding service while supporting providers and patients throughout their healthcare journey. Key Responsibilities & Clinical Duties Conduct patient intake, obtain medical histories, and document patient information accurately. Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure as needed. Prepare examination and treatment rooms for patient visits and procedures. Clean, sterilize, and maintain medical equipment according to established protocols. Prepare injectable medications as directed by providers. Assist providers during examinations and ultrasound-guided procedures using portable and handheld ultrasound devices. Ensure patient comfort and provide compassionate support throughout clinical visits. Administrative Duties Perform patient check-in and check-out procedures. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR). Review patient charts prior to appointments to ensure documentation is complete and necessary reports are available. Respond to patient messages and assist with communication between patients and providers. Support prior authorization processes and other insurance-related administrative tasks. Collaboration & Operations Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Help maintain efficient clinic workflow and patient throughput. Travel to satellite office locations as needed to support clinical operations. Adhere to all clinic policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications. Preferred Previous Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, specialty practice, or urgent care setting. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Experience obtaining vital signs and supporting clinical procedures. Familiarity with insurance verification and prior authorization processes. Skills & Competencies Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Strong patient service and customer care skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
