IMMEDIATE
opening for part-time Certified Medical Assistant at the Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA), Washington, DC. The DC Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) is the public child welfare agency in the District of Columbia responsible for protecting child victims and those at risk of abuse and neglect and assisting their families. Specific tasks and duties include but are not limited to the following: Greet and log in patients arriving at the clinic. Interview patients to obtain demographic and medical information. Develop the medical record (both hard copy and electronic) and confirm Medicaid eligibility and insurance provider. Obtain vital signs, weight, and height. Assist NP with physical examinations, as requested. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean. Prepare and perform minor laboratory testing. Administer injections such as TB skin tests and/or vaccinations. Document information in patient records. Arrange for specialty referrals/hospital evaluations. Prepare informational discharge packets at the conclusion of visits. Inventory and order medical, lab, and office supplies and equipment, and perform equipment calibrations, and quality controls as indicated per manufacturer instructions.
Qualifications:
Must have and provide certification for Medical Assistant Must have worked in a clinic or hospital setting Possess BLS card with valid expiration date Have a minimum of 2 years' experience, during the last three years, as a certified medical assistant. Knowledgeable of a broad range of pediatric medical conditions and assessments. Please submit resume for immediate consideration
