Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes clearly and ensuring their comfort. Support clinical procedures Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently by updating patient information, coding diagnoses with ICD codes, and maintaining accurate documentation. Administer medications or injections following established protocols while adhering to safety standards like Basic Life Support (BLS). Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, coordinating appointments, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare teams. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory for effective communication with diverse patient populations. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols. Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and patient record management. Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, EKGs, urinalysis, etc Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service excellence and teamwork within fast-paced healthcare environments.
