  • 23/hour DOE About Us Our specialty allergy practice is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care that helps individuals effectively manage allergies and improve their quality of life.
We are currently seeking experienced, dependable, and professional Medical Assistants to join our growing team across multiple office locations. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with strong potential for long-term employment for the right candidate. Position Summary The Medical Assistant will provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient office operations. The ideal candidate has strong injection skills, prior authorization experience, and thrives in a fast-paced specialty clinic environment. Candidates with previous experience in allergy or dermatology practices are highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Greet and room patients while obtaining vital signs and medical histories Assist providers with exams, allergy testing, and skin testing procedures Administer injections and allergy shots accurately and safely according to protocol Perform diagnostic testing including spirometry and peak flow measurements Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and allergy management Process prior authorizations using CoverMyMeds and other insurance portals Verify insurance benefits and obtain medication approvals Schedule appointments, referrals, and patient follow-ups Document patient information accurately in IMS and Meditab EMR systems Maintain exam room cleanliness, readiness, and inventory of supplies Assist with patient phone calls, triage support, and inquiries Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and clinical safety standards Qualifications Medical Assistant diploma, registration, or certification required Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain 2-3+ years of Medical Assistant experience required Strong experience administering injections and allergy shots Excellent dosage calculation and medication administration skills Experience handling prior authorizations and CoverMyMeds required Familiarity with IMS and Meditab EMR systems preferred Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities Solid and reliable employment history required Team-oriented, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude
