Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Medical Assistant for a top healthcare services client. This individual will support providers in a clinic setting by delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with clinical and laboratory procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong clinical standards and exceptional customer service.
Day-to-Day:
Provide routine patient care under the direction of physicians or clinical supervisors
Room patients and prepare them for examinations
Administer medications, immunizations, EKGs, ear lavages, and assist with minor procedures
Perform venipuncture and manage laboratory duties (drawing, spinning, prepping samples)
Maintain and stock exam rooms; clean and sterilize instruments
Manage patient medical records and enter encounters/test requisitions into the system
Answer phones, triage calls, and assist with front office functions as needed
Communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients per the provider's direction

High school diploma or GED
Nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire
BLS / CPR
certification (AHA or Red Cross) or ability to obtain within 30 days
Experience administering medications and immunizations under provider supervision
Ability to perform EKGs
Knowledge of medical terminology
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
Strong customer service and patient communication skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
Prior outpatient or clinic-based experience
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
