We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly motivated Medical Assistant to become an integral member of our healthcare team. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment while maintaining exceptional patient service. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with physicians and advanced practice providers in a collaborative setting focused on delivering outstanding patient care. Clinical Responsibilities May include, but are not limited to: Obtaining and documenting patient medical histories Preparing patients for examinations and procedures Assisting physicians and providers during patient visits Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens Performing CLIA-waived laboratory testing as appropriate Providing patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, and special diets Administering medications and vaccinations as directed by a physician or licensed provider, including intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections Processing prescription refill requests according to provider instructions Performing phlebotomy and specimen handling Obtaining electrocardiograms (EKGs) Performing wound care and dressing changes Maintaining accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record Ensuring compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and patient safety standards Administrative Responsibilities May include, but are not limited to: Utilizing electronic medical records and other healthcare software applications Answering and triaging telephone calls professionally Welcoming and assisting patients with exceptional customer service Scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care services Updating and maintaining accurate patient records Coordinating referrals, laboratory services, and home health services Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence Supporting efficient clinical workflow and provider schedules Qualifications Medical Assistant certification preferred Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in a physician office, internal medicine, family medicine, or primary care setting Strong clinical and administrative skills Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) required Athenahealth/AthenaOne experience strongly preferred Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities Professional appearance and demeanor Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Patient-focused and compassionate Reliable and punctual Detail-oriented and accurate Able to anticipate provider needs and manage competing priorities Committed to professionalism and excellence in patient care Looking for a long-term opportunity within a stable and growing medical practice Schedule Monday•
