- Boca Raton, FL Mindful Behavioral Health is a growing psychiatric practice specializing in advanced, evidence‑based treatments for PTSD, Depression, and Anxiety , including PRISM Therapy, Spravato (esketamine), Sublingual Ketamine, TMS, ExoMind neuromodulation, and cognitive/memory testing .
We are seeking a compassionate, detail‑oriented Medical Assistant to support our clinical team and ensure safe, exceptional patient care. About the Role The Medical Assistant will work closely with our Nurse Practitioners and Psychiatrist to support patient care, monitor patients during treatment sessions, and assist with clinical and administrative tasks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys patient interaction, thrives in a structured clinical environment, and is comfortable working with interventional psychiatric treatments. Key Responsibilities Clinical Support & Patient Care Take and record vital signs , including accurate blood pressure readings, before and during treatments. Assist providers during Spravato, Ketamine, PRISM, TMS, and ExoMind sessions. Monitor patients throughout treatment for safety, comfort, and clinical changes. Support cognitive and memory testing procedures. Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and daily supplies. Maintain a calm, supportive presence for patients undergoing ketamine‑based therapies. Patient Monitoring & Safety Observe patients continuously during ketamine treatments and ensure safe mobility. Document vitals, observations, and treatment notes in the EHR. Follow all REMS, safety, and compliance protocols. Administrative & Insurance Coordination Complete benefits verification , prior authorizations , and reauthorizations for medications and treatments (Spravato, TMS, PRISM, etc.). Communicate with insurance companies, pharmacies, and patients regarding coverage and scheduling. Assist with scheduling, patient reminders, and follow‑up instructions. Maintain accurate logs for medication handling and treatment tracking. Team Collaboration Work closely with Nurse Practitioners, the Practice Manager, and the Psychiatrist to ensure smooth patient flow. Communicate patient concerns, schedule changes, and treatment updates promptly. Support daily clinic operations and contribute to a positive, patient‑centered environment. Qualifications Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA/RMA). Experience in behavioral health, neuromodulation, or interventional psychiatry is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and remain calm in a clinical setting. Comfortable monitoring patients during ketamine‑based treatments.
