Job Description

SpineSearch is partnering with a leading multidisciplinary medical group specializing in Orthopedic Spine Surgery, Interventional Pain Management, and Physical Therapy throughout South Florida. This growing private practice is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care through innovative treatment approaches and a collaborative, patient-focused environment. Position Summary The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties to support providers and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing a five-star patient experience. The ideal candidate is compassionate, team-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. Experience in Orthopedics, Spine, Pain Management, or a related specialty is preferred. Core Responsibilities Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, compassion, and a commitment to excellence in patient care. Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members both verbally and in writing. Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and colleagues. Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practitioners, front office staff, and clinical teams. Maintain compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards of conduct. Consistently meet performance expectations and contribute positively to team goals. Clinical Triage & Provider Support Document patient encounters and clinical information accurately and thoroughly within the electronic medical record (EMR). Maintain complete and timely patient care documentation in accordance with established medical record requirements. Complete documentation in real-time and within the same date of service. Assist providers with patient communication, follow-up calls, and clinical coordination.
Perform administrative support duties including:
Patient callbacks Completion of required forms Communication with billing departments Email correspondence Other clerical responsibilities as needed Patient Care Responsibilities Perform patient intake, including obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and rooming as needed. Support providers during patient visits and clinical procedures. Ensure patients receive compassionate, attentive, and efficient care throughout their visit. Coordinate patient care and follow-up services. Maintain accurate EMR and paper-based documentation. Assist with quality reporting initiatives, including MIPS measures and other clinical quality programs. Follow all clinical protocols, safety standards, and practice policies. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant certification preferred Previous experience in Orthopedics, Spine, Pain Management, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or a related specialty preferred Strong EMR experience and computer proficiency Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment Positive attitude with a patient-first approach to care Why Join This Team? INDLP Pay:
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour
