Job Description:
PsychPlus is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to support our clinical team and ensure a smooth, patient-centered care experience. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and confident in both administrative and clinical tasks. This role plays an essential part in maintaining clinic flow and delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures Take and record vital signs, patient history, and medical information Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments Administer medications and injections as directed by providers Perform EKGs, labs, and other diagnostic tests (as applicable) Support care coordination based on provider instructions
Administrative Duties:
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow Verify insurance and patient information Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems Handle patient communication, follow-ups, and call triage Manage medication refills and prior authorization requests (if needed)
Qualifications:
Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential High school diploma or equivalent CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required depending on state) Prior experience in a medical or behavioral health clinic preferred Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems is a plus

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
