Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented, personable Medical Assistant to join our busy practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, assist dermatologists with medical and surgical procedures, as well as maintain efficient clinic workflow. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with the intake process. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and assisting with basic physiology assessments Support clinical staff by charting office visits notes, assisting with procedures and basic wound care. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently by documenting patient encounters, updating medical histories, and scheduling. Assist with specimen collection, ordering laboratory tests, and maintaining sterile environments for certain surgical procedures. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, offering comfort, and ensuring confidentiality at all times Maintain clinical supplies, prepare examination rooms, and assist with procedures as needed Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in dermatology clinics, medical offices, or outpatient clinics is highly preferred Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology principles relevant to outpatient care environments Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in medical terminology for accurate documentation and coding Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and support intake procedures efficiently Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like hospital wards or outpatient clinics while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety
