Actalent is Hiring a Team of Medical Assistants! Job Description The back office float medical assistant will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician for both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. This role supports clinician and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating the patient population. The medical assistant is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks. Responsibilities Perform quality team-based patient care under clinician supervision. Support clinician and care management teams in chronic disease management. Conduct laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks. Take manual vitals and ensure accurate patient records. Communicate effectively with patients, employees, and the public. Assess emergencies and act accordingly. Float between locations based on patient queue demands. Essential Skills 3 years' experience within a clinic/back office healthcare setting. High school diploma. MA diploma or Certified MA (CMA) Phlebotomy experience. Active BLS certification. Active driver's license. Experience with TriMed EMR preferred. Knowledge of laboratory quality control requirements. Understanding of basic medical terminology. Work Environment The position is 100% onsite in a medical office setting, floating between locations including Miramar, Pembroke Pines, Weston, and Hollywood, FL. The work schedule is as follows: Monday to Thursday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and every-other-Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Sunday is off. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Cooper City, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30000.00 - $40000.00/yr.
