Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in a remote capacity. Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Support:
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed. Prepare patients for examinations and ensure they are comfortable and informed about the procedure.
Patient Care:
Provide compassionate care to patients, including taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and accurately documenting patient information in electronic medical records.
Administrative Duties:
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, verifying insurance information, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, and other team members. Ensure patients receive instructions for post-appointment care and follow-up appointments.
Medical Equipment:
Maintain and sterilize medical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
Compliance:
Adhere to all relevant medical regulations and maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a medical assistant program from an accredited institution. Minimum of 2 years of medical assistant experience. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. CPR certification is preferred but not required.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
