Medical Assistant Puyana Plastic Surgery Coral Gables, FL Job Details Full-time $18 - $21 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Spanish Teamwork Vital signs English Medical terminology Full Job Description Puyana Plastic Surgery is a high-end, innovative, and rapidly growing aesthetic plastic surgery practice seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Medical Assistant to join our team and work closely with the surgeon. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who values patient-centered care, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys being involved in the full surgical journey—from pre-operative visits to post-operative follow-ups. Spanish fluency is required. Responsibilities Assist the surgeon during pre-operative consultations, post-operative follow-ups, and in-office procedures Perform real-time medical scribing and maintain accurate EMR documentation Prepare patients for exams and procedures; obtain vitals and update medical histories Coordinate pre-operative labs and testing Ensure completion of all pre-op documentation, consents, and clearances Provide post-operative instructions and recovery documentation Reinforce wound care, medications, activity restrictions, and follow-up schedules Participate as an active member of a collaborative, patient-focused team Follow up with patients to answer questions, provide guidance, and support continuity of care Perform pre consultation assessments for virtual consults Cross-train in additional clinic responsibilities as needed to support daily operations Assist with social media support and content creation for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, including patient education and behind-the-scenes clinical content (as appropriate and compliant) Qualifications Fluent in Spanish and English (required) Medical Assistant training or relevant clinical experience Strong understanding of medical terminology Experience with EMR systems and medical documentation Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Professional, compassionate demeanor aligned with a luxury medical practice Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing aesthetic environment Preferred Certified Medical Assistant Experience in plastic surgery, aesthetics, dermatology, or surgical specialties Prior medical scribing experience Interest or experience in social media, content creation, or patient education Compensation & Benefits 10 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) annually, earned on a prorated basis Annual treatment allowance High opportunity for professional growth and advancement within our organization
