Responsibilities:
Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments Perform chart review for upcoming appointments to ensure that labs and other reports have been received Take vital signs, triage patients and administer injections as needed Perform detailed review of medications and medical history Return patient calls & portal messages Communicate lab results reports to patients Refill medications / prior authorizations Assist with maintaining patient flow to ensure patients are seen timely and efficiently Assist with scheduling procedures, follow up appointments, and front desk duties such as verifying insurance coverage, collecting payments, answering phones, etc. Other clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the practice
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience as a certified medical assistant working in an outpatient specialty office
Bilingual:
English and Spanish required Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
