This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and is passionate about supporting individuals receiving mental health treatment. The Medical Assistant will play a key role in supporting our psychiatric providers, coordinating patient care, managing medication refill requests, and assisting with our Spravato® (esketamine) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatment program. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and is passionate about supporting individuals receiving mental health treatment. Healthcare students and recent graduates interested in gaining hands-on clinical experience are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Clinical Support Room and prepare patients for appointments Obtain and document vital signs when applicable Assist providers with patient flow and clinical coordination Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and supplies Support patient intake and screening processes TMS & Spravato Services Coordinate and schedule Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato treatment appointments Prepare patients for TMS and Spravato treatments Administer TMS treatments according to established protocols and provider orders Monitor patients during Spravato treatment sessions under provider supervision Document treatment sessions, patient responses, and observations accurately Educate patients regarding treatment expectations and procedures Ensure compliance with TMS and Spravato program requirements and safety protocols Communicate patient concerns, side effects, or treatment issues to providers promptly Maintain treatment equipment and treatment areas according to practice standards Medication Management Process medication refill requests Submit prior authorizations and medication-related paperwork Coordinate with pharmacies regarding prescriptions and medication issues Assist providers with medication follow-up and patient communications Administrative Duties Maintain accurate patient records within the EMR system Assist with general office operations and patient support Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Comfortable working with electronic medical records (EMR) Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism Preferred Experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, or primary care Experience with prior authorizations and medication management Familiarity with Spravato and TMS treatment Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Portuguese) a plus New Graduates & Healthcare Students Encouraged to Apply New graduates and healthcare students are encouraged to apply.
