Pediatric Medical Assistant - Crestview ABC Pediatrics is looking for a dependable, energetic, and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team! Pediatric experience is preferred , and we are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and families in a fast-paced office environment.Schedule Monday-Thursday:
8:00 AM - 4:30PM Friday:
8:00 AM - 12:00 PM No weekends One-hour lunch breaks daily Half days every Friday Responsibilities This position includes both clinical and administrative duties, including: Answering phones and assisting patients and families Scheduling appointments and confirming visits Checking patients in and out Maintaining patient records and performing data entry within the EMR system Verifying insurance information and obtaining necessary authorizations Recording vital signs and documenting patient information Monitoring and documenting patient symptoms for provider review Assisting providers during exams, procedures, and routine checkups Preparing and administering medications/vaccinations under provider direction Enter vaccines into Florida Shots database Maintaining vaccine inventory and monitoring vaccine storage temperatures Performing vision screenings Collecting and preparing lab specimens Completing referrals, medication refill requests, and prior authorizations Assisting with school, sports, and daycare forms Triaging patient phone calls and relaying messages to providers Cleaning, stocking, and preparing exam rooms between patients Ordering medical supplies needed for the office Assisting with patient flow to help maintain an efficient schedule Following OSHA and infection control guidelines Helping create a positive and welcoming environment for patients and families Requirements High school diploma Minimum 2 years of medical office experience Medical Assistant certification required CPR certification required EMR experience required Experience with eClinicalWorks, VaxCare, and Florida SHOTS is a plus We are looking for someone who is: Organized and dependable Friendly and professional Able to multitask in a busy pediatric office A team player with a positive attitude Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) Consistent daytime schedule No weekends Supportive pediatric office environment If you are passionate about pediatric care and enjoy working with children and families, we would love to hear from you!Job Type:
