Clinic Medical Assistant Home Physicians Group - 2.6 DeLand, FL Job Details Full-time 7 hours ago Qualifications Vascular access Full Job Description Home Physicians Group was established in 2005 and we are a large practice servicing the central Florida geriatric population for 20 years. We are a large group with over 25 providers caring for patients in the Skilled Nursing Facility, Assisted Living Facility, homebound patients in the comfort of their home, and we care for patients in our office setting. Our medical practice is looking for an outstanding, motivated Certified Medical Assistant to join our clinic team. In this role, the Medical Assistant will work closely under the supervision of the provider and will triage patients and document basic medical history, obtain and record patient vitals, collect insurance and health information, as well as input all relevant data into our electronic health records. You will also perform venipuncture, as well as assist with medical examinations as needed, .
Additional responsibilities may include:
Assist patients with appointment scheduling. Record test results in the chart. Perform rapid tests for patient's as ordered by the provider. Venipuncture, administer injectables under the supervision of the medical provider. Verify demographic and insurance information in EMR. Exam room upkeep. Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA. Phlebotomy experience is required.
