Job Description

Busy Endocrinology office in the Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale area is seeking an experienced Full Time Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced and growing team. Diabetes and endocrinology experience is a plus. Experience in both front and back office responsibilities is strongly preferred. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who is a team player and thrives in a busy multi-provider practice environment. The ideal candidate must be able to multitask efficiently, communicate professionally with patients and staff, and maintain a positive and pleasant attitude throughout the day. Strong computer skills and the ability to learn EMR systems quickly are required.
Responsibilities may include:
Rooming patients and obtaining vitals Assisting providers with patient care and procedures Managing prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription requests Performing chart preparation and documentation in the EMR Scheduling appointments and assisting with patient check-in/check-out as needed Handling patient phone calls and clinical messages Supporting CGM/RPM workflows and diabetes-related patient education (preferred)
Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred Endocrinology or diabetes management experience a plus EMR experience required Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume office setting Reliable, professional, and patient-focused demeanor Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and skill set.
