The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care across various medical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital environments, and emergency departments. This role involves supporting physicians and healthcare professionals with clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth patient flow, and maintaining high standards of care. Experience in family medicine, and medical administrative support is highly valued. The Certified Medical Assistant will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient services while utilizing their knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to support diverse medical procedures and documentation. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures in outpatient, inpatient, or emergency settings. Support physicians with clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound dressing, and specimen collection. Operate EHR systems efficiently to document patient information accurately and ensure proper coding using ICD codes. Assist with diagnostic procedures including X-ray preparation and basic imaging support. Provide patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures, and offering compassionate care tailored to geriatrics, pediatrics (PICU), or other specialized populations. Support hospital medicine units such as Geriatrics, Medical-surgical wards, or Level I/II trauma centers based on experience. Maintain compliance with safety protocols including Basic Life Support (BLS) standards and infection control procedures. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in emergency medicine or urgent care environments to deliver prompt patient care. Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, ICD coding for billing purposes, and supporting overall clinic operations. eCW experience preferred. Drug Free Workplace. Requirements Valid certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program. Proven experience in outpatient clinics, hospital medicine, or emergency departments; experience in Level I/II trauma centers is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and ICD coding practices. Hands-on experience with EHR systems and familiarity with X-ray procedures is advantageous. Ability to perform clinical tasks such as medication administration, vital signs measurement, and specimen collection accurately. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients (PICU). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in emergency medicine or OR experience are a plus. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as urgent care centers or hospital inpatient units. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and administrative support tasks.
