Position Summary The Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting physicians and advanced practice providers in both clinical and administrative functions. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, friendly, and thrives in a high-energy environment where every team member contributes to creating an outstanding patient experience. ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments. Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and chief complaints. Assist providers during gynecologic examinations and in-office procedures. Prepare and maintain procedure rooms and clinical supplies. Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, urine testing, EKGs, and other clinical tasks as appropriate. Administer medications and injections as directed and permitted by scope of practice. Assist with obstetric visits, prenatal care coordination, and patient education. Process laboratory specimens and ensure accurate documentation. Maintain infection control standards and OSHA compliance. Administrative Duties Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-up care. Manage patient communications through phone calls, messaging systems, and electronic medical records. Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and medical records requests. Document accurately and efficiently within the EMR. Support smooth patient flow throughout the day. Qualifications Medical Assistant certification preferred. Minimum 1 year of medical office experience preferred; OB/GYN experience is highly desirable. Experience with phlebotomy and specimen collection preferred. Strong computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
