FABEN OBGYN
is growing! Our staff is expanding and we are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant. Preferred candidate will have experience in OBGYN, EMR and great interpersonal skills. Competitive salary (commensurate with experience).
Responsibilities and duties:
Prepare patients for examination and assists provider during treatment and procedures. Prepare, restock, and sterilize medical equipment, examination and procedure rooms, lab area and all other patient care areas per company policies and procedures. Verify patient information by interviewing, recording, and determining the purpose of today visit. Clerical duties as required to update EMR, complete forms and charting. Perform phlebotomy, injections, and other specimen collection. Educate patients by providing information and instructions as directed by the provider. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and safety guidelines/regulations. Represent office in a professional manner. Must be able to work in fast pace environment and be able to travel to all 3 office locations.
Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections, if applicable.
  • Able to perform dosage calculations and measurement conversions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate and able to enter data into the electronic medical records application.
  • Customer Service.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain BLS certification and MA certification from an approved entity within the first 90 days of employment.
License:
BLS (Required) MA Certification (Required) Phlebotomy (preferred)
