Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and experienced
PART-TIME
Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and administrative skills, experience with medical coding and the eClinicalWorks EMR system, and proficiency in phlebotomy. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can provide exceptional patient care while supporting the physician in a fast-paced medical office environment. Must be available during these hours: MON
  • THURS Monday AND Wednesday 8:00 AM
  • 2:00 PM Tuesday AND Thursday
  • 8:00 AM
  • 5:30 PM Duties Room patients and prepare them for examination Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints Assist the physician with patient care and clinical procedures Manage prescription refill requests and assist with medication-related tasks Administer injections and other treatments as directed by the provider Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens Process and follow up on prior authorizations Accurately document patient information in eClinicalWorks Utilize medical coding knowledge to support billing and documentation processes Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling, questions, and requests Coordinate referrals, lab results, and patient follow-up care Maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, and infection control standards Ensure compliance with HIPAA and office policies and procedures Requirements Minimum 1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred Medical coding experience required eClinicalWorks experience required Phlebotomy experience required Current Medical Assistant certification preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care standards Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills
