Job Description

We are a busy and well-established internal medicine practice seeking a reliable and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate has experience working with an ACO (Accountable Care Organization) . This role is essential in supporting providers, ensuring efficient patient flow, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during visits Administer injections and perform EKGs as ordered Prepare charts and obtain medical records Collect specimens as needed Answer phones and assist to patients needs Accurately document clinical information in the computer Support ACO and quality measures, including preventive screenings and chronic care follow-ups Assist with population health initiatives, gap closures, and care coordination tasks Handle in-basket messages, medication refills, and prior authorizations as assigned Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and practice policies Requirements Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required High school diploma or equivalent Experience working with an ACO or value-based care environment preferred Strong clinical, organizational, and multitasking skills Excellent communication and patient service skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced primary care setting Preferred Qualifications 1+ year experience in a primary care or internal medicine office Experience with quality reporting, HEDIS measures, or preventive care tracking Benefits (if applicable) Competitive hourly pay Health insurance Paid time off and holidays Disability insurance Supportive team environment
