Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Medical Assistant to join our pediatric practice. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and families, thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is committed to providing high-quality patient care and excellent customer service. Responsibilities Welcome and room pediatric patients and their families Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures Administer vaccines and medications as directed by providers Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness and supplies Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently Answer phone calls and respond to patient questions professionally Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) Follow all HIPAA and infection control guidelines Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and other administrative duties as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) Pediatric experience preferred but not required Current CPR certification preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment Comfortable working with infants, children, and adolescents Experience with EMR systems is a plus
