Job Description

Hibiscus Women's Center is looking for a seasoned Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced OB/GYN team! We're seeking someone who is confident in their skills, thrives in a busy clinical environment, and can step in with minimal training. The ideal candidate has strong clinical knowledge, excellent patient care skills, and is ready to make an immediate impact on our team. Experience in a medical office required. Strong multitasking and organizational skills. Professional, dependable, and team-oriented. Comfortable working independently and taking initiative OB/GYN experience preferred, but not required If you're an experienced MA looking for a supportive team and a rewarding career, we'd love to hear from you!
DUTIES INCLUDE
Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs Assisting providers with exams and in-office procedures Preparing exam rooms and maintaining sterile technique Administering injections and medications as directed Performing phlebotomy and handling lab specimens Accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (Athena EMR) Providing patient education and compassionate support Maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Telephone screening and call backs according to protocol and routed to provider Performs other projects and duties as related to department objectives.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Current CMA or RMA certification (required) 3-5 years prior medical assisting experience (OB/GYN or women's health preferred) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting Professional, dependable, and patient-focused. Medical terminology, basic ICD-10, advanced computer and typing skills, Athena EMR experience a PLUS!
